I love you , can we go for a drink
I truly believe he came home to me because he knew he would be safe here. I wondered if at one time, he had been someone’s cat and they just ‘threw him away’. So sad! Saving one animal at a time beats the heck out of the alternative. Love from NC, Carolyn
Your story breaks my heart.
But you showed him so much love during his last moments when he would have been alone. So I think it’s amazing you found him when you did. Anyway I should stop going on lol. Same with me, I love all animals, but especially kitties. There’s this one grey cat who shows up now and then and we just call him Grey Kitty lol. Feral cats always brighten up your day.
Love from Canada!
Thank you. I wasn’t expecting to break down like this but I did. I try not to watch the video much cause I’ll start crying again too. I miss Come On to this day. He was so sweet. I’ve always had a soft spot for all animals, but especially kitters. I have another cat who showed up shortly after Come On. They look eerily similar. (black with a white spot.) He’s my Scrappy cat and feral too. I love him and everything. He’s just not my Come On! Thank you so much for crying with me. XO Carolyn
I have such a soft spot for cats and cried along with you.
I love my cats so much and they’re like my own children as well lol. R.I.P. Come on.. And thank you for your lovely videos.
I wish I had my own house and woods as you do. I live in a small apartment in N.Y.C.. I only have four cats. I have fed and helped stray cats I could not take home,only to see bad thing happen to them. Usually by cars. Some are so friendly and wonderful. It is so sad. People can be selfish and callous. I sympathise with your compassion.
Its been about a year since Come On passed. He is never forgotten. I often think about him. He has now been replaced by another stray cat I’ve named Scruffy. lol Right after he showed up, his ear got damaged somehow. I’ve been nursing him and it back to health since. He has some of the same markings as Come On did, both black and white. Scruffy is younger though, but he’s really gentle and sweet. My guess is that both of these were both ‘throw away’ cats, which upsets me. I love them tho!
I admire your courage. People trivialize animals. I’ve been ridiculed for showing grief for fallen pets. People laugh. So I keep it to myself. I don’t laugh at you. I know how you feet. It hurts.
Horses are really fun to watch!Mine goes up to her horse friend at the stable and gives her a little love bite.She’s just playing.Then she’ll run around a coral they put her in to exercise.Having two is quite a bundle but well worth it.You live in a area like I’d like to live in.There is one about 20 miles from here.
So glad to meet you too!XO Ame`
LOL!!!…Come On,Come On..LOL!!..It is funny!
They are the sweetest friends!
I love horses too! One of my bff’s has 2 of them and my next door neighbors own a bunch of them. Their pasture is right beside my home, so I get to see them on a regular basis.
I gave Come On his name because well, he would never just ‘come on’! I had to coax him alot, by asking him to ‘come on’! It was funny going outside and saying “come on, come on!” lol He might’ve been kinda scruffy, but I loved him all the same. Take care sweety! So glad to meet you! XO Carolyn
Hi Carolyn
I love his name!Kitties are special.I’ve always had them in sometime in my life and love the way they look at you.There is something so comforting about them.I have a horse too but my cat has the easy going attitude and she’s reassuring.The horse wants to take off!LOL!Same here,they need us but also each has a sort of independence.XO Ame`
Thanks sweety. I really appreciate your taking the time to say that. Come On was surely a special kitty. I will never forget him and will always miss him. Animals are a very special part of my life, especially kitters! I love the way they need you yet don’t need you at the same time. I sure need them though! XO Carolyn
I’m so sorry to hear about your cat.He’s so lucky to have a Mom like you,and you will always be his Mom.The bond is always there.I have always had cats as pets and they are very special friends and give such joy.
Thank you sweetheart. It really means a lot to me! Your sentiments are greatly appreciated. Even now, weeks later, the pain is still fresh. Somehow I just keep expecting to see him in the yard waiting for me. Even though I’ve got other pets, our home is just not the same without him. He lived free though, and I’ll always remember him that way. XO
I just watched this evening. I am so sorry. You were a good mom to him.You gave a lot of love to your little guy.
I have a 14 yr old dog. I drend when he will leave me. Its been me and him for a long time.
Feel happy for him. For you made his life better.
You’re welcome;o)I understand how you feel not knowing what took his life but on a good note you got to see him before he passed. I know that might not be great comfort BUT you guys were together till his end. I’m sure he knew how intensely you cared for him otherwise he wouldn’t have been there with ya. Hang in there! {Hugs}
Thank you~ I am still so sad. It just doesn’t seem fair. When I brought Come On into my house a few times, you could tell that he had never been in one before and it frightened him a bit. He loved to be outside where he was free. I am just so glad that he found me and that we had the time we had together. I will never know what took his life and this perplexes me. He was purring up a storm in the end though so I hope he passed on knowing how much I love him. He will be sorely missed. {{Hugs}}
Thank you so much. Your thoughts are well appreciated! I am still a bit rough around the edges but hanging in there. You’re very sweet.
I’m so sorry for your loss Carolyn. This is really sad and i’m so sorry you had to go through this however you do have the lovely memories of caring for him etc. {{Hugs}}
Sorry, I LOVE your videos.
Thanks for them.
You’re a beautiful woman. I loved your videos.
Thank you so much Lesli. I really appreciate the card too. I hadn’t planned to talk about Come On. It just kinda happened that way. In a way it helped me to talk about him and get it out. I sure would never want to make you cry though. That part I feel bad about. I just wanted to share my love for my kitty. Someone told me Come On was lucky to have me for a mom but I think I’m the lucky one. He was always a free spirit though and will always be now. I will always remember him. No doubt.
sorry to hear about your stray cat.
I teared up watching this, It reminded me of what i went thru as well when my Autumn (chow/sheppard) died She got sick all of a sudden within a few days she was dying in my arms, I sobbed so much I kept trying to keep her comfortable even thou i knew I was slowly losing her with ever last breath she took. i am so so sorry sweetie. i am here for ya,
