I’m wanting to work at a fitness center. I’m looking to work at maybe the front desk or a less qualfied position until I recieve my licenense to personal train. Can anyone give me any tips, or what they look for when they hire new employee’s. Has anyone ever worked at a gym and if so can you tell me what you did to get the job?

Well if your altimate job is to be a personal trainer then you should have a background in fitness or be willing to be trained by them. Im an instructor at a gym and they trained me so it depends on the gym. I would supsect they are looking for a perfessonal person who is willing to work and definately someone who has initiative. I would go in look for a personal training job and let them know that, but also let them know you would still like to work the desk, ect. until your trained and ready. Its a tough job just be enthusiastic about it and youll do great.
